Fans are eagerly anticipating the drama, primarily to witness the remarkable chemistry between Sarah Khan and Imran Ashraf, a duo that previously wowed audiences in Hum TV's hit series "Raqs E Bismil." The drama is directed by Shaqielle Khan and produced by Fars Entertainment and Momina Duraid. The script for "Namak Haram" has been crafted by Saqlain Abbas.
In a recent statement, Sarah Khan expressed her intrigue about the drama's unique title, "Namak Haram," and the distinct storyline it promises. She shared, "I was drawn to this project because of its distinctive title, 'Namak Haram.' The story is quite different, which I believe the audience will thoroughly enjoy. Unfortunately, I can't divulge too much about the plot at this time." When asked about the title's implications, Sarah added, "I was curious about who the real antagonist in this drama would be, given the title. Additionally, I heard about the exceptional cast, which includes Imran Ashraf, Babar Ali, and others. So, after learning about the story and cast, I made an instant decision to be a part of it."
Discussing her character, Asma, Sarah Khan provided insights into the role she portrays, saying, "In our society, individuals have varying perspectives on religion and the world. Some are deeply committed to their faith, while others are more focused on worldly matters. Asma is a character who strikes a balance, harmonizing her religious beliefs and her worldly life. She is not flawless but strives to practice Islam to the best of her abilities. Asma aspires to learn Quranic tafseer (translation), covers her head, and avoids unnecessary interactions with unfamiliar men."
