Navigating Life's Challenges

Reflecting on her challenging times, Samantha said, "When I hit an all-time low of, well, a failed marriage, and my health and work were getting affected, it was like a triple whammy; boom, boom, boom. You know, people go down for far less than what I endured for the last two years or so. During that time, I read about actors who have gone through health issues and made a comeback, or suffered trolling or anxiety. And reading their stories helped me. It gave me strength to know that if they did it, I can, too."

She emphasized the importance of embracing the responsibility that comes with being a beloved figure in the nation and encouraged others to be honest and share their stories. She expressed that it's not always about achieving super hits, winning awards, or maintaining a perfect appearance; it's about embracing the struggles and challenges.

Divorce from Naga Chaitanya

Samantha Ruth Prabhu and Naga Chaitanya got married in October 2017 but decided to end their marriage after nearly four years. They announced their separation in October 2021 through statements on their respective social media accounts.

Since their separation, Naga Chaitanya has been linked to Sobhita Dhulipala, while Samantha has been focused on her health and career.

Box Office Setback

Samantha Ruth Prabhu's recent release, "Shaakuntalam" (2023), experienced a disappointing performance at the box office despite its grandeur, visual effects, and larger-than-life storytelling. The film, directed by Gunasekhar and released in both Tamil and Hindi, failed to gross over ₹10 crore globally during its opening weekend. This marked one of the lowest openings for a film with a budget exceeding ₹50 crore.

Prioritizing Health

Samantha has taken an extended break from films since July and has not committed to any new projects. Her focus during this time has been on regaining her health and seeking additional treatment for myositis. In the past, Samantha took a break from work when she was diagnosed with a rare autoimmune disease while filming her Telugu movie "Kushi."
